The wood density is substantial, unlike cheaper pine swing sets sold at big box retail stores. The wood pieces are accurately cut to length, so squaring the main tower was trouble-free. Top notch quality, safe construction, and endless entertainment for our children.

The green powder-coated swing chains have a soft rubber coating that keeps little fingers safe. The swing chains can be adjusted in height in seconds as our kids grow taller each summer. Top notch quality, safe construction, and endless entertainment for our children.

The wavy slide has thick sidewalls that keep energetic toddlers safely centered. The swing hangers have bronze bushings that swing smoothly without annoying squeaks. Cannot recommend this playset enough for families with active kids. A wonderful backyard investment.

The pre-drilled bolt holes lined up with high precision, making frame assembly smooth. The upper fort enclosure has tall safety rails that give parents peace of mind from the kitchen window. Seeing our kids playing outside together for hours every day makes this worth every single cent. Definitely happy with the purchase.

After comparing half a dozen wooden swing sets, Gorilla Playsets Mountaineer Heavy-Duty Wooden Swing Set offered the best combination of features. The timber had no excessive checking or knots that compromised the structural integrity. Four stars due to the lengthy bolt sorting process, but five stars for durability and kid fun.

The belt swings are flexible and wrap comfortably around children of different sizes. The safety handles on the ladder and slide entrance are thick and easy for small hands to grasp. Top notch quality, safe construction, and endless entertainment for our children. Has been performing reliably every week.

We added a layer of rubber mulch around the perimeter and the playset looks like a municipal park. The cedar was smooth to the touch with eased edges that prevent painful splinters. Cannot recommend this playset enough for families with active kids. A wonderful backyard investment.

The hardware includes lock washers for every major joint so bolts do not back out over time. We anchored each corner post into the turf using the included spiral screw anchors. Take your time leveling the ground first and you will have a safe, wonderful play center.
Amanda Campbell (Peoria, IL) (verified owner) –
The hardware kit included extra lag screws and washers which gave us peace of mind. The slide material stays surprisingly cool in sunlight compared to older plastic models. Cannot recommend this playset enough for families with active kids. A wonderful backyard investment.

Built this playset over a long weekend with my brother, and the structural rigidity is exceptional. The slide bolted directly to the frame with reinforced brackets that support energetic toddlers. Seeing our kids playing outside together for hours every day makes this worth every single cent.
