A wonderful backyard playset that provides endless healthy outdoor exercise. The lower picnic bench is sturdy and lets the kids take a break in the shade. Assembly takes real effort, but the sturdy wooden result is totally worth the sweat.

The upper play deck is roomy enough for three or four children to play games together comfortably. The timber had no excessive checking or knots that compromised the structural integrity. Seeing our kids playing outside together for hours every day makes this worth every single cent.

Freight delivery arrived on an eight-foot banded pallet with all boxes intact and undamaged. The pre-stained cedar has a rich warm tone that complements our backyard landscape. Plan for a full weekend with two capable adults to build, but the final result is rock solid.

Everything from the slide to the swing brackets feels heavy-duty and commercial grade. We used a magnetic level and an impact driver which made securing the deck floor boards swift. Assembly takes real effort, but the sturdy wooden result is totally worth the sweat.

The cedar timbers had a wonderful natural scent when we unpacked the boxes onto the grass. The hardware pack included extra washers and lag screws which was a thoughtful touch. Seeing our kids playing outside together for hours every day makes this worth every single cent.

The wavy slide has thick sidewalls that keep energetic toddlers safely centered. The slide bolted directly to the frame with reinforced brackets that support energetic toddlers. Our backyard is now the favorite hangout for all our kids’ school friends.

The swing hangers glide silently without the metal-on-metal screeching of older sets. Pre-drilling was spot on for virtually all the deck support beams and uprights. Top notch quality, safe construction, and endless entertainment for our children.
Christina C. (Madison, WI) (verified owner) –
The slide assembled cleanly without sharp seams that could snag clothing or skin. The slide material stays surprisingly cool in sunlight compared to older plastic models. Five stars. Extremely sturdy, beautifully finished, and built to last through childhood.
Janet K. (Omaha, NE) (verified owner) –
The cedar naturally resists rot and insects, giving us peace of mind for the coming years. The swing chains can be adjusted in height in seconds as our kids grow taller each summer. Seeing our kids playing outside together for hours every day makes this worth every single cent.

Our three kids have spent every single sunny afternoon climbing and swinging on Gorilla Playsets Chateau Heavy-Duty Wooden Swing Set. The ladder angle is gentle enough that our four-year-old climbed up with confidence on day one. Take your time leveling the ground first and you will have a safe, wonderful play center.
